we would like to tell you about an awesome place in Indonesia, Matano Lake.
most of people call it Matano Lake. but lots of local community know it as Ide Beach.
Matano Lake located in Sorowako, South Celebes, Indonesia.
It takes 12 hours with the car or bus from Makassar, capital city of South Celebes.
Matano lake is 1 of 10 the deepest lakes in Indonesia and 8 of 10 in the world with 590 meters depth.
Matano lake is also the ancient lake that has local fishes. they are butini and opudi. we only can meet them there.
Sorowako has a top secret or a famous legend story about a 'fake' crocodile that lived in Matano Lake. as everyone knows, it is only a folklore and out of our logic, but it was an old story from ancestors to follow the rule to not be so arrogant. we have to behave.
another unique thing that we can see is, water springs of Matano lake is located on Matano village. if we say "bura-bura", you can see water springs go outside fastly with lots of bubbles.
in Matano Lake, we can do so many activities such as ride a boat, water sport, fishing, and many more.
