WHY I DID NOT COME TO TOURNAMEENT SCHOOL?

STUDENT EXCHANGE TEST (Youth For Understanding)

From the first date of August, i filled the exchange student YFU Program form alone. My family and my sister help me a little.
And weeks later, i submited the form.

When i came to school, i checked my gmail notification and i saw some email from YFU that i should go to Jakarta to did tests. And the event held on Saturday when the tournament begins. I feel a bit confused. But i think, this test is very important. So i went to Jakarta alone and lived there about 3 days 2 nights in my friend's house.

We both joined this event together. We always give some informations each other.

THE DAY OF THE TEST
i came with my friend at 9 o'clock. And we waited a few minutes before the test begins.
First of all is verification of our forms. I think it taked about 10-20 minutes.
After it, we all did the listening and reading test. the test is a bit difficult but ya, it is okay.
And then they gived us a piece of paper and we should write an essay about this program, ourselves, snd another questions. It is only 30 minutes.

After it, they called me to enter some room to did some interview test in English.
I feel sooooo nervous but i tried to be calm.
When i entered the room, Founder of YFU is there.
Which means, he will interview myself.
First, he asked what language did i want to use in this interview.
I answered "well im not good at English at all. But let me try"
And the interview begins. He asks me lots of questions about myself a little bit deep. Alhamdulillah, i passed the interview nicely.

After it, we did a discussion of a group about some problem that they gived to us. Its only 10 minutes and the last test is interview in indonesian languange. Its hard questions but i think its easier than the first.

It ended at 5 o clock. We went back to my friend's house.

A week later, they sended me an email that i success to be an exchange student 2020/2021.
Insya allah, i will go on August 2020. And i think the best country to improve my english is USA.

ABOUT TOBA LAKE FESTIVAL

Toba Lake Festival is an event that always be held once per year in the last day of the year at Toba Lake, North Sumatera, Indonesia.

The first festival of Toba Lake was on 31th December 2002 and it means this is the 17th. The event is very recommended for people who want to spend a night before the new year with a few thousands other people. On this event, you can find many local foods from Indonesia. Such as papeda (Papua), cilok (Bandung), putu ayu (Central of Java), mie aceh (NAD), and many more.

We can also enjoy lots of music performences from a few of the best bands that just passed the audition before. 

Function :

2. Make the world proud of Indonesia
3. Finding out more about Toba Lake
4. Loving Indonesia deeply

to fulfill those functions, we planned this event about 6 months to always make it better than year ago.

Toba Lake Festival in 2019 takes 'COLORFULL INDONESIA' as the theme. It means, Indonesia has lots of wonderful place with 1001 unique colors, and we have to proud as Indonesian people.

We don't have to spend our money to attend this festival which means, it is FREE.

15.30 : Open Gate

16.30 - 17.45 : Opening the festival by President of Indonesia

17.45 - 19.00 : Opening by Governor of North Sumatera

19.00 - 22.00 : Performences by 7 bands (randomly selected)

22.00 - 23.50 : Reading a poem contest

24.00 : Fireworks session
